FAQ

Teletherapy

I offer 45-minute virtual sessions for clients located in California and New York.

What are your fees and do you take insurance?

My fee is $275 for a 45-minute individual therapy session. I do not accept insurance, but I can provide a monthly superbill-a detailed invoice- upon request if you’d like to seek out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance provider. I recommend contacting your insurance company in advance to confirm your coverage and reimbursement rates.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice are typically charged the full fee. That said, I understand that emergencies or unforeseen situations come up, and I aim to be as understanding as possible when that happens. If you're unsure whether a cancellation will be charged, feel free to reach out—we can talk it through.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I don’t offer a sliding scale at this time, but I understand that therapy is an investment. I'm happy to work with clients to adjust the frequency of sessions in a way that feels more sustainable while still supporting your goals.

What can I expect in a typical session?

Each session is a space for you to slow down, reflect, and be met with curiosity and care. We’ll explore what’s present for you—whether that’s a specific challenge or a deeper theme that’s unfolding over time. Sessions often include clarifying emotions, patterns, or beliefs, and making sense of how your past may be showing up in the present. It’s not about having everything figured out, but about making room for self-understanding and meaningful change.

How long will therapy take?

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. Some clients come for a few months to work through a specific issue, while others engage in longer-term work to explore deeper patterns and foster lasting transformation. We’ll collaborate to set goals and check in periodically to make sure the work is aligned with your needs. You’re welcome to move at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable for you.

What’s your approach or therapeutic style?

My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I draw from psychodynamic and relational therapy, along with training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care. I also integrate mind-body awareness and cultural sensitivity, especially when working with clients navigating stress, identity, and early relational experiences. At its core, therapy with me is a space to be fully seen and to understand yourself in a deeper, more compassionate way.

Do you work with people from multicultural or international backgrounds?

Yes. As someone with a multicultural background myself, I deeply value the complexity of identity, language, and belonging. I work with many clients who navigate multiple cultural frameworks—whether as immigrants, first-generation professionals, or individuals living between worlds. Our work can include exploring how cultural values, family dynamics, or societal pressures shape your experience, and making space for your full, nuanced story.

How do you incorporate mind-body or holistic approaches?

While my work is rooted in evidence-based and depth-oriented psychotherapy, I also consider the connection between the mind, body, and nervous system in understanding emotional well-being. This might include increasing awareness of physical cues, exploring how stress and emotions are held in the body, and supporting regulation through grounding or breath-based practices. My perspective is also informed by my personal engagement with holistic healing traditions, which often shape how I think about balance, resilience, and care—both in and outside the therapy room.

Out-of-network providers like me are required to provide a written Good Faith Estimate of fees, and to notify you that your costs will likely be lower if you choose an in-network provider instead. The “good faith estimate” of your initial session is $275, as stated above. After this, your costs depend on whether and how long you choose to continue working with me. You may cancel sessions without penalty given at 48 hour advance notice, or end our working relationship at any time. If you have any questions about this, please ask.
